"We loved this place! Our teens were bickering. It was raining. We had to turn their frowns upside down. We surprised them and brought them to the Museum of the Weird! It was our first stop on our visit to Austin. Immediately their attitudes changed and they had so much fun and so did we. It changed the course of our trip. We got to see some truly fascinating things, and even an exhibit that I had seen some years ago on an episode of Unsolved Mysteries!!! (I'm a huge fan, lol.) "It was exactly what we expected-a weird museum. The self-guided tour leads you through three levels of interesting objects ranging from movie props to folklore to fossils and even human remains. The tour is very affordable and the gift shop has a neat variety of off-the-wall items to explore. We thought this place would be an interesting place to burn some time and see something you don’t see everyday and we were right. If you are in the neighborhood it’s worth stopping by!"
