UFO CHASED AROUND BAJA CALIFORNIA

UFO sightings are not uncommon in southern California nearing the Mexican border, but this one UFO in-particular, was sighted many times in the small town of Mexicali just recently and was subsequently chased around town by local law-enforcement trying to figure out just what was flying around their town.

There’s said to be video of the UFO caught on security cameras from around town but none has been released yet but, we will have it up as soon as it shows.

Inexplicita writes:

“A UFO with white lights, blue and yellow flashes” — The first report was received from the airport area, and [the object] was even seen by C-4 operators manning the safety cameras that appear to have recorded it. The sighting prompted the mobilization of police officials. Martin Ruelas, supervisor of the western sector, was able to see it with his own eyes, but it was too fast and it was impossible to follow.

An Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) prompted an intense mobilization by elements of the Public Safety Forces of the City of Mexicali, arising from citizen reports about the presence of a strange device in the air.

LAMB HAS CONTROL OVER ALL SIX OF ITS LEGS

Unlike most animal mutations, this little one actually has a bit of control over it's extra limbs.

We here at the Museum of The Weird see all kinds of animal mutations often  in our journeys and, even have a large collection of some of the more rare ones that have occurred here at the museum itself. There’s the cyclops pig, a two-headed calf and even a lamb that has 2 seperate bodies, fused into one regular sized lamb, with legs coming out of it’s back due to where the bodies are conjoined! All here at the Museum of The Weird in downtown Austin, right on the famous 6th street, ready for you to come a-lookin’!

Video of said six-legged lamb here:

Yahoo News blog The Sideshow writes:

six-legged lamb was born recently in a small village in the eastern European nation Georgia. The lamb was also reportedly born with both male and female sexual organs.

Shephard Albert Abadzhanov tells the newspaper Trend that in his 25 years of shepharding that he’s never seen such a case.

“I have been asking the other shepherds, but none of them remember such a case. There were three-legged lambs, one-eyed, but not a six legged, bisexual one. The lamb eats well, but moves with difficulty.” Abadzhanov said.

GHOST APPEARS JUST BEFORE HOME DEMOLITION

David Grimshaw says this is Francis Grimshaw, his mother, silhouetted in the window just before the house she worked in and adored was demolished.

How spooky!

This woman standing in the window isn’t actually standing there. In fact, no one was even in the house at the time this picture was taken!

This is a photograph snapped by Robert Johnson,
the demolition supervisor on the job that day who was getting ready to demolish the house pictured, just moments after this was taken.

Looks like someone wanted to give the building a final goodbye.

The Telegraph writes:

The image is said to bear an eerie resemblance of Frances Grimshaw, who worked at the guesthouse and stood for hours at the same window taking bookings.

David Grimshaw, a former resident at the property, said he was convinced the figure is the ghost of his mother, who died nearly a year ago aged 87.

He believes her spirit may have appeared to protest at the demolition of Meadowbank House, which she adored.

“That is my mother. I’m totally convinced – no one else looks like that. She had glasses and big earrings and she used to wear a dress with a bow at the front,” he said.

“She used to stand in that room for hours on the phone – it was the guesthouse reception and she took bookings from there.”

BLOOD BUBBLES INTO STREETS OF SMALL POLISH TOWN

Quite the surprise for the townsfolk of Koscierzyna, blood bubbles into the streets.

As if straight out of a horror movie, blood bubbled into the streets of  Koscierzyna, a small polish town, the other day.

Quite the horrible scene I’m sure, especially for the two separate sets of children that walk these streets on their way to school just blocks away.

The blood didn't just stay near the manhole it came out of, it went some distance down the road.

Had I stumbled upon something like this as a little one, I have a feeling my childhood would of been a little different growing up.

Luckily, the blood was only from a meat packing plant near by having a bit of a drainage problem, and not the evidence of a much scarier scenario.

The Telegraph writes:

After bubbling out through holes in the covers, the blood formed a river of red that flowed along a road in the Polish town forming large bloody puddles.

An investigation revealed that the blood had come from a meat processing plant and had seeped onto the streets because of a blocked drain.

“Police were called and we are investigating to find who is responsible for this,” said Janusz Matrejek, a spokesman for the regional police headquarters.

Confronted with pools of blood on their streets locals reacted with horror.

“There are two schools on the street where a large amount of blood was flowing,” wrote one angry resident on a news website. “The blood was also heading towards a local market. When you consider public health this situation is appalling.”

GIGANTIC BAT COLONY FOUND IN MIAMI ROOF!

The bats just wouldn't stop coming out from underneath one family's roof in Miami.

One family in Miami got quite the surprise the other day when getting their roof remodeled. While roofers began removing the tiles from the roof, they discovered hundreds, almost thousands of bats nestled beneath them with fresh younglings ready to take flight. The more tiles the pulled off, the more the blood-thirsty little residents poured out.

The Huffington Post writes:

Think about how many houses in South Florida have roofs with barrel tiles. Now imagine that each one contains thousands of squealing bats.

In the video above, Miami roofers discover a particularly dense roosting area for bats. As noted by Buzzfeed, it conjures up visions of Temple of Doom.

Bats are quite common in Florida. Local pest removal companies cite the most common types are the Brazilian, or Mexican Free-Tail Bat, and the Evening Bat.

According to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says, as bats’ natural habitats disappear, they’re more likely to settle in places like roof titles. And when this video was taken in July, bats nestle in crevices to give birth and nurture their young.

MAN HAS NAIL REMOVED FROM BRAIN!

The actual x-ray photo of Dante Autullo's skull with the nail dead center in his brain.

With a picture like this, you would imagine quite a bit of damage happening to this person’s brain but this crazy-lucky guy had no problems whatsoever!

The Telegraph writes:

Dante Autullo thought his doctors were joking, and that he had merely cut himself with a nail gun while building a shed. But they assured him that the X-ray was real: a nail was lodged in the middle of his brain.

Mr Autullo, from Chicago, was recovering on Friday after undergoing surgery at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where doctors removed the 3.75-inch (7.62cm) nail, according to agency reports.

The nail had come within millimeters of the part of the brain that controls motor function.

“When they brought in the picture, I said to the doctor, ‘Is this a joke? Did you get that out of the doctors joke file?'” the 32-year-old recalled. “The doctor said, ‘No man, that’s in your head.'”

FROG SMALLER THAN A DIME!

This recent discovery changes a lot in the science world. Not only is this the world’s smallest frog, but is also now the world’s smallest invertebrate, a position previously held by fish.

BBC News writes:

A frog species that appears to be the world’s smallest has been discovered in Papua New Guinea by a US-based team.

At 7mm (0.27 inches) long, Paedophryne amauensis may be the world’s smallest vertebrate – the group that includes mammals, fish, birds and amphibians.

The researchers also found a slightly larger relative, Paedophryne swiftorum.

Presenting the new species in PLoS One journal, they suggest the frogs’ tiny scale is linked to their habitat, in leaf litter on the forest floor.

Finding the frogs was not an easy assignment.

They are well camouflaged among leaves on the forest floor, and have evolved calls resembling those of insects, making them hard to spot.

“The New Guinea forests are incredibly loud at night; and we were trying to record frog calls in the forest, and we were curious as to what these other sounds were,” said research leader Chris Austin from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, US.

“So we triangulated to where these calls were coming from, and looked through the leaf litter. It was night, these things are incredibly small; so what we did after several frustrating attempts was to grab a whole handful of leaf litter and throw it inside a clear plastic bag.”

“When we did so, we saw these incredibly tiny frogs hopping around,” he told BBC News.

CARNIVOROUS PLANT EATS WORMS!

This unassuming little plant is feasting on a buffet of worms just below the surface.

Once again, a new discovery in this world of ours has changed science and they way we think about plants forever. Newly discovered plants of the Philcoxia genus are the first ever found to actually feed on animal life below the surface of the earth.

Discovery News writes:

The Brazilian savannah is home to a subterranean little shop of horrors for tiny worms.

Plants of the Philcoxia genus aren’t as physically impressive (or musically talented) as Audrey 2, the man-eating plant of stage and screen, but can be just as deadly to nematodes, or roundworms.

The three species recently studied, P. bahiensis, P. minensis and P. goiasensis, are the first plants found to feed on animals underground. The plants have sticky subterranean leaves which trap nematodes as they crawl through the nutrient-poor white sand of the Brazilian cerrado, a vast tropical grassland.

MAN MARRIES DEAD GIRLFRIEND

Chadil Deffy is seen here as he marries his deceased girlfriend in a combination funeral and wedding ceremony in Thailand's Surin province.

Now this is certainly some weird news, although it has a more of a somber and respectful tone than our usual pieces.

This man unfortunately lost his girlfriend, Sarinya “Anne” Kamsook, of ten years in an accident recently but was not ready to let her go just yet. They had planned on marrying after Chadil finished his schooling, so he figured he should follow through and, hopefully, they both can now rest in peace.

The Huffington Post writes:

A man recently married his deceased girlfriend in a combination funeral and wedding ceremony.

Chadil Deffy, also known as Deff Yingyuen, placed a ring on the finger of Sarinya “Anne” Kamsook, his girlfriend of 10 years, during the ceremony in Thailand’s Surin province.

The couple had planned to get married in the future, but Yingyuen wanted to focus on his studies before tying the knot, the Thai-Asean News (TAN) Network reported.

Unfortunately, Kamsook unexpectedly died in an accident before the couple could set a date.

According to the Pattaya Daily News, the couple met at Thailand’s Eastern Asia University nearly a decade ago, and wreaths were placed around campus in memory of Kamsook following her death.

NEW MONKEY DISCOVERED W/ HUMAN-LIKE FACE

One of the only known photos of the Snub-Nosed Monkey alive in Myanmar.

New discoveries are always exciting and tell us a lot about our world, but this one in-particular is especially interesting due to the fact that it’s a monkey that looks an awful  lot like a human being!

Another of the only known photos of this newly discovered monkey alive.

Although this is a new discovery to the world, it’s definitely not anything new to the locals of this area, who seem to have been hunting it for food for quite some time.

A recent photo of a Snub-Nosed Monkey that was hunted by locals for food.

National Geographic writes:

A new monkey species inMyanmar is so snub-nosed that rainfall is said to makes it sneeze—but that’s apparently the least of problems.

The only scientifically observed specimen (pictured above) had been killed by local hunters the time researchers found it—and was eaten soon after. But local demand for monkey meat is only one reason the new species is already considered endangered.

Scientists first learned of “Snubby”—as they nicknamed the species—from hunters in the remote, mountainous Kachin state (map) in early 2010, according to the U.K.-based conservation group Flora & Fauna International (FFI), which announced the discovery Wednesday.
