Message in a bottle over a century old!

Message-in-bottle
This bottle, discovered on a German, may contain the world record for a recovered message.

April 17th, retired postal worker, Marianne Winkler, was walking along the shore of the German island of Amrum on the North Sea coast when she found something very curious on the beach. It was a well-sealed bottle with a message inside. The Winklers tried to get the bottle opened, but were finally forced to follow the directions to extract the paper: BREAK THE BOTTLE.

It turned out to be a post-paid postcard from The Marine Biological Assocation of the UK with instructions to send the postcard back for a 1-shilling reward.

It’s likely that the price of postage has gone up since this bottle was dropped into the water sometime between 1904 and 1906. It was one of nearly 1,000 bottles released as part of an study on currents.

“We were very excited,” Guy Baker, a spokesman for the group, told AP, London. “We certainly weren’t expecting to receive any more of the postcards.”

To reward the Winklers for their find, the Association sent them a shilling from the period which they found on E-Bay.

Information about this find is currently being reviewed by Guinness for a possible world record.

I’M NEVER EATING TUNA AGAIN! Woman Finds Scary Yet Cute Creature in her Tuna.

Good lord. I can’t even keep my cool as I write this, but a woman named Zoe Butler from the UK bought an off brand can of Tuna and got more than she ever could have “bargained” for.

She opened up her can of tuna to find A CREATURE STARING BACK AT HER OH MY GOD. Look at that, that’s horrifying, with it’s eyes staring into my soul.

Once I recover from my tuna induced PSTD, I’ll gladly stick to Chicken of the Sea brand from here on, so I can avoid having this thing chill with me on my kitchen table.

It’s actually kind of cute.

“MYSTERY PRIMATE” SPOTTED IN DORCHESTER, DORSET

A seventeen year-old girl snapped a shot of a “mystery primate” bounding through a local park in Dorchester, Dorset. Terri Leigh Cox spied the creature, hunched over on all fours, from her bedroom window and managed to capture a quick image before it scampered up a tree and disappeared. Cox reported it “looked about the size of a small gorilla. It was walking like one as well, using its arms and feet”. Shaun Bessant, Terri’s boyfriend, investigated the property later, but found no trace of evidence.

Monkey World, an attraction located in Wool about ten miles away from the park reported that all of its primates were accounted for.

“The image is not clear and it is difficult to make out, so we would be unable to confirm its identity,” a representative for Monkey World said. “I can confirm that all of our rescued monkeys and apes are safe and well in the park.”

The image is grainy and unidentifiable due to the distance it was taken from. Similar ape-like creatures have been spotted in a variety of countries including the United States. The photo below is from a sighting in Pennsylvania in February and submitted to the website Ghost Theory. As with the sighting in Dorchester, the creature was too far away for exact identification.

AMAZING FOOTAGE OF UFO IN THE UK DEBUNKED

This still is from the footage uploaded to youtube of the supposed ufo seen in the UK.

What looked to be a real break through for ufo chasers everywhere turned out to be a false hope but, why did everyone get so excited? Well, it certainly seemed like a good case for the idea of visitors from another planet silently watching from the skies, it was a beautifully clear video and, showed the iconic and classic UFO image we’ve all grown up with and love so dearly.

Watch the video here posted by YouTube user g goodman:

With the video going viral and making news world wide, it was only a matter of time before someone would do their best to spoil the fun and debunk the video. It took less than 24 hours.

The explanation was posted by The Courier of the UK:

Adrian Musat’s sighting of a UFO seemingly hovering in Clunie Wood near Pitlochry on November 6, sparked scores of theories and internet speculation from people who saw our story.

Explanations offered on our Facebook page ranged from Chinese lanterns and aircraft to flying saucers and reflecting light.

Peter Menzies posted: ”Oh spooky. Mind you to believe we are not the only living beings in the whole universe or others is probably crazier than believing the possibility of UFOs.”

Jeem Smith wrote: ”Amazing that people are already ridiculing it without seeing the footage. There’s a possible 500 billion galaxies out there — anything’s possible surely.”

Adrian became a celebrity for the morning as national and regional media outlets flocked to his door to follow up on the claim.

A British UFO Research Association investigation into the craft was launched, but it was Forestry Commission Scotland that quickly settled the conundrum.

The eerie white light in the woods was, in fact, a cabin-mounted spotlight on a harvester working in the area.
